Hi all

While you wait for the release of the fourth and last volume of Forgotten series, that is still on going, I offer you a new artbook so the waiting would not be so hard .

Nocturna is a one volume artbook of 96 pages, that show old and new artworks, a lot of them never published before, with themes of fantasy, gothic, steampunk and more. Our hostess through the pages will be the triad or triple goddess, a common figure reference in several mythologies all over the world. She will guide us in a story through time, showing her three faces as the spinner of life. The book will also contain close-ups of artworks, showing every detail of the images.



Nocturna will be published in Spain on june 2011. I'm still working on the possible translation and publication in other countries. I hope it will be available in other languages soon, wish me luck .

In Spain I will have some signing sessions at the release of the book, on the Book Fair of Madrid. I will also be present there at the presentation of Donde los árboles cantan, a new book by Laura Gallego which cover I had been working on lately.

In other hand, Forgotten 4 is still on a very early stage. There's a lot of work to do, since this last book will have more pages and more complex artworks. I will keep you updated on the process.

And to celebrate this new artbook, I will upload a new image right now . Hopefully, I will can update more shortly.

Hi all

Well, time for updates. I added a new artwork to the gallery (an old one, I'm afraid, from my second artbook ), but I also have some news for you. I opened an oficial YouTube channel, where I will share with you promotional videos, step by step of some artworks, interviews and more.

At the moment you can check a promotional video of Forgotten, with several artworks from the three volumes that are right now for sale. In this video you will see a good amount of artworks that are only available on the books. I will not upload most of that paintings, so check it out if you wanna see works never shared before . It's available in english and spanish.

I will still try to answer some of your messages. Sorry that I don't have enough time for all of them. Be sure that I always read everything and feel very grateful for all your words

Hello everybody

I hope you're having good holidays and enjoying the free time with your friends and family . Wish you the best for 2011, health, happiness and a lot of inspiration

And thank you very much for your DA birthday wishes . I swear I didn't know it was my DA birthday until you said so

Some of you know that I created a new poll a few days ago asking if you would like other products with my art for sale in DA (if you didn't saw it, you can still vote on the poll below ). So, following your chooses and opinions, there will be some new products soon in the store.

I will make postcards available, and also calendars for 2012, since it's too late to make them for 2011 . I will also make available a few mugs, magnets and mouse pads. I would like to know which artworks are your favourite ones for this kind of products. I can make available any work contained in this folder (the other ones can't be made available for copyright or publishing reasons or just because they're too old to even think about that ).

And, yes, there will be more paintings soon . Since too many of you asked for them, I will post a new painting on the first week of the year .

2011 is going to be a year full of news and new works, and hopefully, more updates .

First of all, thanks for all your kind words these last weeks . My wrist is feeling better and I'm beginning to work again. I still have to take it slowly, but I hope to be able to work at full energy again soon.

Well, after some time waiting, Forgotten 2 and 3 are now available for sale in german, by the hand of Salleck Publications. Yeah, the two issues at the same time . So now you can find Forgotten 2: Das Tor der Schicksale and Forgotten 3: Die Hügel der Stille available in comic stores and online stores. Here's a link to one of them if you wanna check them out.

For the french version of the second volume you still have to wait for a while. I will let you know as soon as is available .

Due to some health issues, I will have to cancel my visit to some of the conventions scheluded for the next weeks. I'm very sorry that this happened just now, but although I tried to find alternate solutions, none of them was good enough.

The reason for this cancellation is that I will not be able to do any signing sesions, due to a strong wrist sprain in my rigth hand that doesn't let me use it at all. I really hope to be better in a few weeks and be able to assist to other events and continue my work in the projects and commissions that are waiting for me.

I want to apologize for this problem to my readers and the organizations of the conventions; to the people that went to Imagina Málaga and found out that I had to cancel my signing sessions (I hope I will can compensate you in another occassion); to the people that were waiting to meet me in Frankfurt, since I will cannot go there now (hope we can meet next year instead) and sorry if I cannot be present in any other event for this same reason.

Thanks a lot for your support and patience. I hope to be ok again very soon.

Commissions are closed again. I know this time were open for a very small time, but all my lists are full already. You can still check for my schelude for commercial commissions during the next months, but I will probably not accept works with a tight deadline.

Hi everybody

The summer has come, and here in Spain it's so hot that I think I will melt in any moment

I have some news that I know some of you were waiting for . Calendars for 2011 are now available at stores, by the hand of Heye Verlag. This time there are three new calendars featuring artworks from Forgotten vol 1 and 2. A wall big calendar of 50x70 cm and a smaller calendar of 29,5x30,5 cm, like the ones released last year but with 12 new artworks each one. And a original Pop Up Calendar featuring images with 3D Pop Up effect, size 36x35,4 cm. The three of them are now for sale worldwide in stores and online. I also want to announce that I will be present at 17 International Comic Festival of Contern (Contern, Luxemburg), from 17 to 18 of July 2010. There will be signing sessions (timetable to come) and I hope to meet some of you there .

And there's still more news: several prints of the newests artworks are now for sale. Check the PRINTS STORE to check them out.

And last, but not least, commissions are now open for a small time. I will accept commissions for this year until all slots are closed. If you want a commission (private or commercial), check the info here and write me with a full description. Serious projects only .

Hi everybody

After several weeks of hard work and being totally out of reach on internet, my thrid artbook, Forgotten 3 is finished. It will be available very soon in spanish, by the hand of Norma Editorial, and more languages will follow. I will keep you updated about release times for this and my other artbooks .



I want to say thank you for all your support and patience during this months . I will try to answer your messages as soon as I can, and you can expect several updates, news and artworks for the next weeks.

Hi people

First, let me say you happy new year, since I couldn't before . My computer decided to crush on christmas, so I have been without internet for a long while. Now I'm trying to update the galleries and websites, answer all the messages and mails that I have waiting, and trying to show the several news that I have on my desk. But I have too many work and it's proving difficult. So I have to ask you for a little more patient with me, I'm trying my best ^__^.

As most of you already know, I'm currently working on the third volume of Forgotten, and that's the reason why I'm so busy lately. The book is at 75% done, so I hope to finish it soon. There will be more updates when the work is finished .


Several of my artworks have been selected to be part of the very known artbooks Spectrum 16 (Underwood books) and Exotique 5 (Ballistic Publishing). They're already for sale at stores, if you want to pick them up.

The big news this month is that Forgotten will be published in France, under Mylady Graphics, the new comic label of Éditions Bragelonne. The first volume, under the name Forgotten 1: Le Royaume Sans Nom will be available in stores next 12th of february.



In other hand, let me tell you about the upcoming art competition that will take place at CGWaves. Under the name "A new beginning", you can participate in this competition from 1 to 28 of february 2010. I will be part of the jury, along with . Check all the info here

I'm back from Scotland. Everything is as lovely as my last visit, as expected . Hope to be back early next year, as soon as I have finished Forgotten 3 (that, by the way, is going as planned).

I had a lot of updates waiting for me to be able to post them, so here you have a good amount of news .

Once again, for all of you who want to know about my works, art in process, events in which I will be present, publications and other issues, I highly recommend you to visit my Blog. I will keep it updated a lot more than this blog in DA, and you can find everything there .


I will began presenting to you two new Forgotten Calendars for 2010. Published by Heye Verlag, they're already available in stores and online. The big calendar (shown below) contains 12 artworks from Forgotten 1, Forgotten 2 and other projects, shown at high quality at the big size of 50x70 cm.



There's also a small calendar with the same 12 artworks (shown below) at the size of 29.5x30.5 cm. You can find here info and sample interior pages showing all the artworks contained in the calendars. The artworks Deep in the Underworld and The Song of Lorelei that you can see on my DA gallery are published in this calendars.



In other hand, I have two upcoming events this month, that will be the last ones of this year. The first of them is the V International Comic Convention of Málaga (Spain), also known as Imagina Málaga. I will be there as a guest from 22 to 24 of october. There will be signing sessions (check there for timetables), an exhibition of my works and a talk-meeting with the author.

I will also receive there the Best Author Award for Forgotten 2 . But it's also a very special event for me because I had the opportunity to do the poster of the convention this year, in collaboration with the great author and good friend Juanjo RYP (if you don't know his work, I highly recommend you to check it out). I posted the result of this collab on the DA gallery so you can look at it . More info about the convention here.

The other event is the I Gothic Week of Madrid (Spain), and I will be there from 25 to 27 of october, presenting an exhibition of gothic illustration with another great artist and friend, Javier Trujillo. The exhibition will show some of our works in this style and we will also have a talk about gothic and neodark illustration on sunday 25. More info here.

I know, I know, I completely dissapeared lately. Sorry, I know I have a lot of messages to answer, a lot of comments to check,... but I don't have time anymore to be around as I would like. I'm currently working hard on the third volume of Forgotten, and if everything goes as planned it will be finished on early 2010. Till then, I will be very busy working, so I will not be around a lot. I will keep uploading paintings from time to time (I have a lot of artworks on my computer waiting to be uploaded ), but I'm afraid I will not can answer most of your messages. So if you have something very important to tell me, please send me a note.

I have been on holidays last month of august (the first 10 free days I had in more than 10 months!!! ) and I went to London. A great experience, far better than I though . You can expect some photographs of my travel in the next weeks. I'm planning to go again to Scotland at the end of the month too, I miss my Scotland so much .

This is the month of the books . I wanna show you two books in which I collaborated this year.

The first is the novel "Ecos de Azurëa vol. 1: El cementerio de torres" (could be translated as "Azurëa Echos vol. 1: The Towers' Cemetery"), a fantasy book written by Manuel F. Bueno and published in Spain by Mundos Epicos Editorial. I was commissioned to paint the artwork for the cover, that you can see below. The book is the first of a colecction with a very interesting story about unusual heroes, fantasy beings and mystical places. It's only in spanish for the moment.

And the second is the book "La mujer en la sombra: lo femenino en el cine fantástico y de terror" (could be translated as "The woman in the shadow: the paper of the woman in fantastic and horror cinema"), and is one of the books published this year by the X International Week of Fantastic and Horror Cinema of Estepona (Málaga - Spain), a festival of cinema that will take place from 7 to 12 of september 2009. For this book I did the cover art (that I uploaded to the gallery, you can check it here), all the design of the covering -check here- and I also wrote an horror short story titled "The cuckoo clock". The book is only in spanish.



During the Festival there will be two presentations of the book in which I will be present. There will be free copies of the book for the people at the presentations:
- 11th september 2009 - 20:30 h. Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Estepona.
- 12th september 2009 - 12:30 h. Fórum Fnac La Cañada.

There are more news on the way, but I'm not gonna tell yet .

A long of time has passed since my last update, lol . Sorry if I'm not around a lot lately, but I have been working so much. And I have a great amount of news to share, and a lot more waiting to be released in the next days .

There's several news since my last update. I will only share with you here a few of them, but you can check my blog to know all.

First, my book Forgotten 2 is already available for sale in english. You can buy it here. Other languages are on the way .

Recently has been released a chess game based on Don Quijote and fully designed by me. It was a project commissioned by Ibersoni S. L. in which I have been working a lot during 2007 and 2008. Now it's available for sale . Below you can see the chess set, and you can check here to know more about the project and see some photographs.



My work was featured in XFUNS magazine #42 (Taiwan), released this month of june. The magazine showcases an interview with several images, both in english and taiwanese. There's a lot of interesting interviews of some great artists in this issue. For sale here.



And for all of you who couldn't see the "Myth & Dreams" exhibition in Spain, I posted several photos on my blog . It's not the same, but at least you can take a look. Check them here.

... and a little late one, I must say

This year promises to be very intense . I was planning on doing a new tutorial to post here, but couldn't at the end for lack of time. I will try again in the future.



I don't know if all of you checked the box on the left side called "Myth & Dreams" exhibition . It's a little announcement for a big itinerant exhibition that it's taking place in Spain. I show there more than 40 artworks, tutorials, traditional work and originals and material. I will put photos on my Blog so all of you can see a little of the exhibition . For the moment, it was a great success, surpasing all expectations, so thanks a lot to everyone that have been there .

Since I couldn't update before, there's a lot of things to talk about. First, my work was published on ImagineFX magazine #39, as artist of the month in Reader FXPosé. Also there's an interview and several images published on the new magazine Amazing Events #2 by Fantasyana Publishing; the pdf file of the magazine is for sale here.

There's also some interviews online, both in english and spanish, that you can check on my Blog.

Some little news for the end of the year.

On next month of january there will be two new puzzles available, one of 1000 pieces and the other of 3000 pieces. Both of them are images of Forgotten 2 that you can see below. For information about them, check the shop section on my website.

    

The english version of my artbook, Forgotten 2: The Gate of Destinies it's already available for pre-order. It's expected to be released on late february .

On other hand, the artbook Exotique 4, that showcases 4 of my artworks, it's already for sale in Ballistic Publishing.

Here I am again with a lot of news and a new image on the gallery ^___^.



The time for the great news has come .

My second artbook, Forgotten 2: The Gate of Destinies, will be released on next 30th of October by the hand of Norma Editorial in spanish. The book will feature a good amount of totally new artworks and four more stories, in 48 pages full color. It will be available for sale on book stores and online shops. The english version will be available on late february 2009, but you can pre-order it this december.

To present this book I will be on several Comic Conventions during the next months. Here below you can see the cover .

Also, four of my artworks will be published on the next artbook of Ballistic Publishing, Exotique 4, that will be available for sale at mid november. You can pre-order the book here.

And about Conventions, I will be present on the next events:

- Lucca Comics and Games Festival (Lucca, Italy) on 30 and 31 of october. I will have signing sessions with Lizard Edizioni. Check the schelude on Lizard stand.

- Barcelona Manga Convention (Barcelona, Spain) on 1 and 2 of november. I will have signing sessions on Norma Editorial stand on saturday afternoon from 18.30 to 20.00 h, and sunday morning from 10.30 to 11.30 h.

- Expocomic Madrid (Madrid, Spain) from 27 to 30 of november. There will be also signing sessions. For schelude, check my blog.

I'm back from my summer holidays (I have some photos to share with you on scraps) and, after several weeks of hard work, finally I can find time to update the galleries and be around a little. In a few days I will have to work hard again, but well...

It was a great surprise for me to find that I got a DD on Amber. Thank you very much to ~Demi-Vamp for suggest it and to `cosmosue for feauture it. Love you a lot!



I will be part of the project King Kong solidario, a beneficent event in Spain to pay tribute to King Kong's 75th anniversary, organized by Scifiworld. For this event I did an artwork (you can see it on the gallery) that will be part of an exhibition, with the art of several great artists of illustration, comic and film, in the International Film Festival of Sitges (Spain), from 2nd to 12th of October. They will publish a catalogue of the exhibition that will be for sale during the Festival and on book stores, and later the artwork (signed) will be available for sale on Ebay. All the money earned both on the catalogue and the artwork will go to the organization Medecins Sans Frontieres. If you want to know more about this event, you can check their website. I will keep you informed about the sale of the signed artwork.

Also, since this month of september, there will be two more puzzles of my works for sale. They are published by Heye Verlag and are available on stores and online shops. You can see below the images selected this time: the first belongs to Forgotten, and the second to Forgotten 2. Both of them have 1000 pieces and the size is 48x68 cm (19x27 in).

        



I posted on the gallery the artwork for King Kong project, and I will do more updates soon.

Hi everybody

First let me say that I'm very grateful for all your support on my last deviation. I never expected that you will like it so much, since I put on it a lot less effort and time than my other pieces. I suppose I will have to show you bigger close ups of the character's faces in the future, since you like it ^_______^.

I will be out of reach for a while. I'm gonna take a break to visit the north of Italy for the second time. I hope it will so pleasant as my last travel there, and I promise there will be photos when I come back .

I was invited to the next convention of comic and fantasy of Málaga (Spain), called Imaginamálaga, that will take place on 1, 2 and 3 of august.

There will be a exhibition of some of my works, and also signing sessions from 12 to 14 hours and from 17 to 19 hours. I will love to share a moment with you if you gonna be around .

By the way, the second volume of Forgotten is already finished. I will let you the release date as soon as I can .

I have some great news this month and more are  coming. I will not be around a lot lately, but I hope to be able to post some new works soon .



Since this month of June, Forgotten will be available in italian too, published by the hand of Lizard Edizioni. As usually, it will be for sale on Italian stores and online . The book is published already in four languages, I'm so happy .

Also, I was featured on the current issue of Art Scene International magazine (issue #80), available now in Europe. The magazine shows an interview with several images, some of them from the second volume of Forgotten. So, if you can take a look at it, you will see some exclusive images ^_^.



And finally I found enough time to update my Blog (yeah, it was about time.. ). So from now on, I will post all the news there, both in english and spanish, and also some other stuff, like sketchs, old things, tutorials,...
