Well, I'm aware about the problems regarding my last post, and that you're waiting for an answer from me, and here it is.
First of all I want to say that it was not my intention to harm anyone. I never denied to be working with references, is something most artists do. Whenever I can I work with my own references, but that's not always possible and I have to search through internet for inspiration. Artists ways are not always easy, and we need inspiration too. I usually work with tons of references, and most of the times I don't even know the actual source. But I'm more than willing to give credit where credit is due, copyright is important. So my apologies in this case, I never intended to harm.
I also want to make clear that although I use references, I never do paint-overs or photomanipulation. I'm a old school artist, and I always paint everything from scratch and spend hours and hours working on it. If the final work is too similar to the source of inspiration, then I apologize. I will try to work better with my references in the future, since this is a problem, and try to never be too similar to any reference.
So, that said, I will do any necessary changes on the art to solve this problem. And I will be more careful with my references from now on.
Some people asked me what would I feel if somebody copy my work. That happened a lot of times before and will happen in the future. Sometimes I find artworks too similar to my own ones and there was not a word about my work being an inspiration for that. And I didn't do anything, I didn't accusse anybody. Because is not a big deal for me. Art needs inspiration and everything has a source. I think that if the final artwork has something different and new from the source of inspiration, that's ok. Taking references and steal are two very different things. Perhaps is just my point of view, sorry if you think I'm wrong.
I will not enter any discussion, it's all a matter of opinion and everybody is free to have their own. I will just continue with my work and do my best to improve. And once again, sorry to the people that feel offended about this matter.
