Artist's Comments

Sidhe is the name that the fairies receive in the Irish mythology. It is said that they are high beings as a current man, of reserved customs and very powerful. Her Queen, Maeve, is so beautiful that for the mortal ones it can be dangerous to look at her.
Some legends tell that these fairies are descendants from the ancient gods Tuatha of Dannan, and others assure that they are fallen angels, which were not bad enough to be sent to the hell.

This picture is my version of the Queen Maeve, with the forest around her.

everything in this is beautiful... the background, the woman herself... the only nitpick i have is her face. there's something about it that makes it look lopsided--perhaps her nose?

That is so amazing. The wings and the dress really catch my attention and her face is beautiful without being unreal.. because that's what this makes her.. real.

That's gorgeous! Very nice colours, and the things that really caught my eyes were her clothes and her wings, they look fab! The background isn't too bad either.

this is really lovely - the wings are so soft & smooth. nice detail & shading... i like the hair & wings. the trees in the background look quite realistic :) (Smile)
